The mission of CNY Connects is to provide people with opportunities for face-to-face connections with like-minded people, that result in gaining new information, ideas, knowledge and business!

Too often, people view connecting or networking as a way to get business leads and referrals for themselves. With this single goal in mind, frustration and disappointment will follow. Connecting is about listening, observing, learning, sharing, helping and giving. By approaching the act of connecting with a broader view, positive feelings and effective results should follow.

Welcome to the CNY Connects Website!!  Networking with business professionals in Central New York has been a passion for me for many years.  Meeting new people, learning about their business and finding a way to help increase their customer base is not only exciting, it is rewarding!  I am so proud of CNY Connects and the many people I've had the opportunity to meet and become not only business partners with, but friends as well.  It has been invaluable to the growth of my company, AK Consulting.  Starting CNY Connects seems like it has been in the process for me for years.  I have started other groups in the past, but did not have the proper momentum until last year.  We have now grown to 14 groups with more starting soon!  I am very excited about the future for CNY Connects and watching every member's businesses increase in 2012 and beyond!!
